To ensure the highest quality print, providing the correct file format is essential. Here are the formats we support:

Standard Formats

  • STL (.stl): The industry standard for 3D printing. It describes the surface geometry of a 3D object using triangles. Ideal for single-color prints in MJF, SLA, or FDM.
  • OBJ (.obj): Another common format that can support color and texture maps, making it suitable for both geometry and multi-color prints.
  • STEP (.stp / .step): Preferred for engineering parts as it maintains high-precision geometric data, which is crucial for functional assemblies.

For Full-Color Printing

For our Color Jet Printing (CJP) services, we recommend formats that encapsulate texture information, such as VRML (.wrl) or OBJ with texture files (MTL + JPG/PNG). Ensure your textures are properly UV mapped to the model.

If you are unsure about your file type or need assistance converting your CAD data, our technical team is here to help optimize your files for printing.
