Selecting the right material is crucial for the success of your 3D printing project. At Ultratec 3D, we categorize our materials based on the technology and application:
Thermoplastics (HP Multi Jet Fusion)
We primarily use Nylon PA12, a strong, multi-purpose thermoplastic known for its high density and balanced mechanical properties. It’s ideal for functional prototypes and end-use parts. We also offer Nylon PA11 for higher impact resistance and ductility.
Full-Color Composites (Color Jet Printing)
Our core material for CJP is a high-performance gypsum-based composite powder. It allows for the printing of models in millions of colors with high resolution, making it the standard for architectural models, geographical maps, and concept art.
Resins (Stereolithography - SLA)
SLA technology utilizes various photopolymer resins:
- Standard Resins: For general-purpose prototyping with a smooth finish.
- Tough & Durable Resins: Simulate the properties of ABS or PP plastics.
- Clear Resins: For transparent parts like lenses or fluidics.
