What materials are used for 3D printed interior elements?
The choice of material in bespoke interior design fabrication is crucial for both aesthetics and durability. We select materials based on the specific application of the interior element.
Durable Polymers for Structures
For large furniture pieces, reception desks, or expansive wall panels, we typically use strong polymers like PETG or ABS. These materials provide the necessary structural integrity while being relatively lightweight compared to solid wood or stone.
High-Detail Resin
When an interior design element requires exquisite, fine detail—such as ornate lighting fixtures or small decorative sculptures—we utilize SLA resin printing. This provides a remarkably smooth surface finish right off the printer.
Finishing Magic
The true magic happens during post-processing. Regardless of the base plastic, we can finish the piece using specialized paints, epoxy coatings, and textures to make the final product look like polished metal, aged bronze, smooth ceramic, or even wood grain.
